ASTRA 2005 – our core polycotton fabric for demanding workwear

At 235 g/m², ASTRA 2005 is the heavier option in our standard polycotton range. The 35% cotton content keeps the fabric comfortable and breathable against the skin, while 65% polyester delivers the abrasion resistance and dimensional stability a daily-wear garment needs. The twill weave gives a dense surface that stands up to friction and to repeated industrial laundering.

Where it is used

This is the right choice where garments are worn eight hours a day and washed often: work trousers, jackets, coveralls and boiler suits. The 235 g/m² weight suits sectors with high mechanical stress — construction, manufacturing, workshops, logistics — and it is equally suited to the colder months, where a heavier cloth is an advantage.
